HIGH SCHOOL Andy Attended Stoughton High School in Stoughton , WI . He won the WIAA state championship in 1975 and 1976 at 126 and 132 pounds.

While a coach at UW Andy earned the NCAA Rookie Coach of the Year, as well as earning Big Ten Coach of the Year.
